Wedding at The Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge

I am so excited to share this wedding in Breckenridge, Colorado. I met Sarah and Dylan in person for the first time back in February on my way to Steamboat, Colorado for a quick ski trip. First of all, any time you can meet your clients in a bar it’s off to a great start! Sarah and Dylan were so kind and so much in love that I couldn’t wait to meet their family and document their wedding. Traveling for destination weddings I get to meet a lot of people, but what I love about what I do is getting to spend time with people like Sarah and Dylan. Fast forward to their wedding in Breckenridge, I got in pretty late on a Wednesday night. I checked the weather before I came so I knew it was going to be cool at night but I had no idea that there was still going to be snow on the mountains in June. (i’m glad I packed a jacket)

I always arrive a few days early to scout locations for shooting and I use a few apps on my iPhone to see where the sun will be at what time. I found a few spots that I thought would be perfect for sunset pictures as long as the weather would hold out. Well, Sarah and Dylan had PERFECT weather for their wedding, not to hot, a few clouds in the sky and one beautiful location! I am a pretty fast shooter, I like to shoot in as many locations as I can but I also want to make my couples as relaxed during the process. Sarah and Dylan were up for just about anything, even if that meant hopping in my car to get to my planned sunset location. I think it was worth it. Sarah and Dylan, congratulations and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day!
