Erica and Clint, it was an honor to be a part of your day, and so thrilled I got to spend the weekend with you and your amazing family. Thank you and hope you all enjoy the images! Be sure to check out all of the images HERE.
Back in September, I made my way west back to Colorado for what was sure to be an epic trip and wedding. It did not disappoint! This time I did a little something different, as I wanted to experience Colorado in a fun new way with a different perspective. So I took my usual flight out to Denver, and then rented a vintage Volkswagen bus that would become my home for the next few days. Dream. Her name was “Pinky” and we had some awesome times together in the adventure off to Salida, Colorado! Don’t worry – I will be writing a post once season has slowed down some to show you some fun images and what all that part of the trip entailed!
I met Erica for the first time at another wedding that I shot outside of Boulder, and we immediately hit it off! She is a phenomenal hair dresser, and was part of the wedding team for some other clients, while Clint is a firefighter. Together, they painted furniture for the wedding, and she handmade the flower girl dress, ring bearer vest and the groomsmen’s ties! It’s always nice when a client puts their personal touch to the big day.
Some of my favorite details and moments?
The lighting where the girls got ready… it makes such a difference and was just lovely.
After the girls got ready, the headed over to a vintage airstream trailer on property. Pretty fantastic!
The moments between Erica and her dad. So sweet.
The groomsmen’s boutonnieres were shotgun shells.
There was a display of the Colorado flag made out of fire house, a nod to Clint’s profession. Love.
The DJ. Who wasn’t a DJ… he was a guy, in a van, that could REALLY sing. He was a roadie with Elton John for years, and now he travels and makes music. Yes please.
I love nice light in great spaces!
