I am so incredibly fortunate to get to travel to Denver, Colorado for destination weddings! I have found such an amazing group of people, and truly consider all of them friends. This couple came to me through another Denver wedding past client earlier this year… love when that happens! This time the wedding was in Silverthorne, Colorado, which is just outside of Breckenridge. I first met Sarah and Matt during one of my annual ski trip at a coffee shop in Denver, and we hit it off immediately. The beauty of being a destination wedding photographer with so many Colorado weddings is that I get to make several trips during the year {actually 7 this year, if we are counting!} …So sometimes I am able to add on a few days and do shoots while I am in the area, and that worked out beautifully this time. We shot some amazing maternity images for Sarah up in the mountains, and they have to be some of my favorite. I’ll share some over the next few months when things slow down!
Sarah and Matt were awesome, and loved the wedding. The ceremony was in a church, with the reception following at the Silverthorne pavilion. We started the day early, and the day did not disappoint. The fall colors were amazing, and somehow… just somehow, we got the one thing that Sarah and Matt told us they would love to have a shot of. They said they would love to have elk in the background of some pictures. That’s right. You can call me the elk whisperer. Because somehow we did not only manage to get 1… but 4. That’s right. And the images are amazing!
Sarah and Matt… thank you for letting me be a part of your journey. It was an honor! Hope you enjoy some of my favorite images!
