When it comes to our destination wedding coverage, we tend to do things a little differently than most wedding photographers. We don’t want to just be there to cover the day of your wedding…we want to be there to cover all of the main events leading up to the actual wedding itself. The pre-wedding events that we photograph allow us to really understand the dynamic between the couple and their families and friends, and by the time wedding day arrives, we are all really comfortable around each other. It’s one of our favorite parts about destination wedding photography!
We have shared a blog with you in the past about rehearsal dinners that rock, but we have the opportunity to shoot a lot of other amazing pre (and post) wedding activities. The weather is getting crisper and the leaves are starting to change… so we thought we would rewind back to summer for a minute…and share Paulina & Toby’s 4th of July celebration with you!
This is the story of an American girl and a British boy who fell in love and decided to get married. They brought their families and friends from both cultures to a lovely private estate, Hawksdene, (basically the fanciest summer camp you’ve ever seen…it was such a lovely property!) for 4 days, and the weekend itinerary that they created was absolutely jam-packed with good times 😉
And they kicked it off with a fabulous Fourth of July celebration… brilliant, right?!
Everyone arrived bright and early in their festive red, white & blue…
Paulina & Toby had broken their guests down into teams. Names were called; bandanas were handed out; new friendships were formed.
team building activities for the win 😉
and then it was off to the lawn for some casual game time. (we specify casual because Day #2 was also about games…but the competition was way more intense…more on that later ;))
The color scheme and the Brits vs Americans theme continued throughout the entire weekend.
It was a very good day… Paulina and Toby created an insane experience for their guests, and this day really kicked it off in an amazing way!
Oh, yeah… and fireworks 🙂
We can’t wait to share more of Paulina & Toby’s crazy wedding weekend soon! Big thanks to Verge Events for making this event go so smoothly… you guys rocked!
