Whenever I travel for an international destination wedding I always make sure I arrive a day or two early. Not only do I want to adjust to the time, I like to scout locations and start getting a feel for the area. On my last destination wedding I shot in Florence, Italy I decided to spend a few days before the wedding in Rome to do a little sight seeing. Something I love to do is travel, especially with my beautiful wife (were good travel partners).
I shoot A LOT with my iPhone (see pictures from the entire trip here) when we are traveling. It is very rare that I walk around with my ‘pro’ cameras while moving around a new city… They are just to heavy, and they don’t let me blend in to the culture.
A few months ago I fell in love with the new Fuji X-T1 and I have been working it into my wedding day workflow. I will do a more in-depth review of the Fuji X-T1 later but lets just say that the image quality and shooting experience is amazing! Enjoy some pictures from our visit in Rome, Italy.
maybe one of my favorite hotels the Relais Orso in Rome
this guy played right in front of our dinner table our first night
isn’t she beautiful?? (even after a 10 hour flight)
the vatican was amazing
there was something about the streets in Italy… it was like everything was a movie set.
