One of the best things about being destination wedding photographers is seeing the different ways that people celebrate their loves. We have photographed destination weddings at huge resorts and campgrounds and fabulous estates. Each place is unique to the couple who chooses it, and it is always lovely capturing the nuances of these different destinations.
Kasey and Reed chose to marry at a gorgeous private residence in Wheaton, IL. Kasey had always loved this home. She loved the gardens. She had wanted to get married here since she was a young girl. It was so exciting to watch her childhood dreams of marrying the love of her life unfold in such a beautiful way!
It’s easy to see why she was so enamored with this place… it’s pretty darn magical!
love these details…
definitely a first for us…bride piercing a bridesmaids ears on her wedding day. it was a flashback to college days for amber, for sure 😉
we love spacious getting ready rooms for bridal parties… we are always searching for different angles and perspectives, and a large room gives us more opportunities to move around more and to create more interesting images 🙂
finishing touches…
Reed and his guys were lovely to hang out with. And they clean up real nice 😉
an emotional father/daughter first look gets us every time 😉
and then this happened and our hearts exploded with happiness…
the hardest part about shooting on this property was deciding where NOT to shoot 😉 everywhere we turned there was a gorgeous nook just waiting for Kasey and Reed to go snuggle in it!
*insert whistle here*
love the way these two love each other so much
and then it was time for Kasey to have the ceremony she always dreamed of. and it was so very lovely.
and then… party time in a brewery… perfect, right?!
there was love…
there was laughter…
there was dancing…
and more dancing…
It was an amazing day.
Kasey and Reed, we are so thankful to have had the opportunity to capture your love and to come to know you as friends. We cannot wait to see you guys (and Caspian too!) soon-ish. Maybe we can find a dog friendly hardware store with a bar in it next time 😉
